1. Data Storage
Ventures is a locally-installed application that stores all your personal and financial data locally on your device. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or backup it.
2. Data We Collect
The app collects and stores the following information locally on your device:
Personal Finance Data:
- Income transactions and sources
- Expense records and categories
- Investment and savings account details
- Creditor and debtor information
- Budget targets and planning notes
Security Data:
- PIN code for app lock (encrypted with AES-256)
- App preferences (theme, currency)
3. PIN Security
Your PIN code is encrypted using AES-256 encryption and stored securely on your device using Flutter Secure Storage. The PIN is never transmitted over any network or stored on any external servers.
4. Data Backup & Export
You can choose to export your data as CSV, Excel, or PDF files or create backup files. These files are stored locally on your device. It is your responsibility to handle these files securely if you choose to share or store them elsewhere (cloud storage, email, etc.).
5. No Online Accounts
Ventures does not require you to create an online account. No user data is collected, transmitted, or stored on any external servers. All functionality works completely offline.
6. Permissions
The app may request the following permissions:
- Storage: To save export/backup files to your device
7. Children's Privacy
This app is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
You can delete all your data at any time through the "Clear All Data" option in Settings. This will permanently remove all transactions, accounts, PIN, and preferences from your device.
9. Third-Party Services
This app does not integrate with any third-party services that collect your data. Any links to external websites (such as GitHub) are provided for convenience and are not covered by this privacy policy.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in this section of the app.
